WANG CONSULTING (Joelle Laederach & Sabrina Seifried)
Chiara Camoni’s creative process is deeply integrated with the basic activities of her daily life. Her works can be created just about anywhere but more often than not in her kitchen or the garden; at times, with the assistance of friends and relatives who happen to pass by, all members of what could be called her extended studio. For many years, her studio assistant was her own grandmother, whom she asked to make one drawing a day until her death to overcome her ‘melancholy’.
Continuing the spirit of Camoni’s “extended studio” and close community of collaborators this exhibition brings together people living and working in and around Brussels. Many of the exhibitors visited our space in the city when we opened in 2019, or have engaged directly with the program in the following fractured months
Each participant has been invited to contribute an object or gesture to adorn a sculpture fabricated from found materials by Camoni, simply titled ‘Carrozzone’ (Caravan)
The exhibition is intended to re-connect the gallery to its core audience of artists, writers, filmmakers, musicians and designers with whom we had sadly lost so much contact over the past two years.
